What Gets You Thinking?

In 2013, I became involved with what is undoubtedly one of the most interesting cases I have heard about or seen since opening my immigration and refugee law practice in 1992. I cannot get into a lot of detail here because the facts are so complex, and the subject matter so important. This case has been the subject of numerous news articles and most recently, a documentary film which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2020.
